When we moved into our flat just over 6 months ago we had a pretty blank canvas. Those pesky magnolia walls that seem to be part and parcel of any rented accommodation meant our open plan home could easily feel empty. Over the past 6 months we’ve been slowly filling the flat with all the candles, cushions and nik naks we could find but I still felt like there was something missing in my bedroom. That’s where Desenio came in.
From day one I knew I wanted some sort of artwork on the walls and thanks to some sticky hooks from wilko that don’t leave a mark, I knew I could actually achieve this without having to wave goodbye to 80% of my damage deposit. The problem was finding exactly what I wanted to hang. I spent hours browsing for the perfect prints but everywhere seemed simply way too overpriced for a glorified poster.
When I stumbled on Desenio however I knew I’d hit the jackpot. Not only are their vast range of prints and frames super affordable they’re also simple and stylish and there’s an option for every taste and interior theme. There are so many in fact that I spent the whole of my Boxing Day afternoon trying to choose which ones to go for.
Instead of opting for just one, large print I decided to do a bit of a mix and match and create a wall collage. My favourite choice has to be this ‘Namastay in Bed’ one which probably tickled me a little more than I’d like to admit. I also picked up a map of Stockholm after our trip there last year. I was wooed by the simple black and white design and it’s now a place that holds a very special spot in my heart and not just for their top notch cinnamon buns.
I’m not normally a quote kind of gal and you won’t see ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ plastered on my walls anytime soon but that being said I did find myself adding this one to my basket. One of my new year’s resolutions is to think more positively so I figured having a quote up on my wall to remind me every morning couldn’t hurt. It remains to be seen whether it works.
What I really loved about the Desenio site was their inspiration page which, you guessed it, offers loads of inspiration if you’re struggling to pick. There’s also the option to create your own gallery wall which means you can see which prints work well together before you take the plunge.
To save even more on your order you can use the code theadoptedscouser to get 25% off posters between 23rd-25th January 2018 (except for handpicked and collaboration posters and frames)
