3 Podcasts You Need to Listen to Right Now

Let’s get one thing clear from the start, I’m not some big podcast aficionado. In all honesty I don’t have that much spare time to be filling with endless podcast listening, as much as I’d like to. Over the months though I have dabbled with a fair few and have had my eyes (and ears) opened to the joy that is the humble podcast. Here are the best 3 I’ve listened to so far…

At Home With…

Brought to you by blogging BABES Anna and Lily, At Home With… features a different special guest each episode from Cult Beauty founder Alexia Inge to “supervlogger” Zoella. The duo interview their guests whilst exploring their on-point pads, which may sound hard to follow when you can’t actually see their homes but somehow it works.

This is girly, fun and actually super interesting. It’s an easy listen which is handy if you’re like me and have a penchant for zoning off when you’ve got your earphones in. Press play on your morning commute when you’re struggling to keep your eyes open and by the end of the journey you’ll have all the #LifeInspo you could possibly need to attack the day.

I LOVE a good murder mystery/psychological thriller when it comes to books and it would seem my podcast taste is no different. Serial went semi-viral last year when every man and their dog wanted in on the action and I finally succumbed to giving it a listen.

Technically a piece of investigative journalism, it follows the disappearance of Hae Min Lee, a Baltimore schoolgirl. Detectives arrest her ex-boyfriend for her murder and although he claims to be innocent he can’t actually remember where he was at the time. Sarah Koenig  did as much research as possible, sifted through document after document and spoke to everyone she could in order to uncover the truth, all the while recording it for Serial. Sounds addictive? You bet it is.

TED Talks Daily

If you haven’t heard of TED Talks then you’re not following the right people on social media. In all seriousness though, TED Talks Daily covers the topics that you should be bothered about and by the end of just one podcast you’ll feel so much more in tune with the world.

With episodes on everything from evolution and climate change to storytelling and video games this is the millennials way of keeping in the loop with what’s going on in the world. Thought-provoking and suuuuper interesting, I challenge you to not start nodding along and looking like an absolute loon. It’s worth it though trust me.
